Privacy Policy
This page describes how Friendly Follow-Up handles account, invoice, reminder, and payment-related information while the product is operating in beta.
What this service does
Friendly Follow-Up helps freelancers and very small service businesses create invoices, send payment reminders, and track receivables.
The product is intentionally narrow. It is not presented as a full accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or payroll platform.
Information collected
Account information may include your name, email address, password hash, plan tier, and billing-related identifiers needed to operate the service.
Invoice data may include client names, client email addresses, company names, invoice numbers, invoice amounts, due dates, notes, reminder logs, and payment status.
How information is used
Information is used to provide the core service, including account authentication, invoice delivery, reminder scheduling, payment status updates, and account management.
Operational providers such as Mailgun, Stripe, and hosting infrastructure may process limited information only as needed to deliver email, process payments, and run the application.
Data handling and retention
Passwords are stored as hashes rather than plaintext. Session data and application records are stored in the application database and hosting environment.
Data is retained while an account remains active or as reasonably necessary to operate the service, troubleshoot issues, comply with legal obligations, and maintain records related to billing or payments.
Client and payment data
Invoice recipients may receive hosted invoice links, PDF invoices, and automated follow-up messages depending on how the account owner uses the service.
Card payment details are handled by Stripe and are not stored directly in this application.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the product evolves. Material updates will be reflected by updating the date on this page.
